"We are a husband and wife team who utilizes all aspects of the studio: buddy training, group training, single sessions and boot camp. We have been training with Brian for over four years and are highly committed to Brian and his philosophy of fitness. We also participate in a high energy, early morning boot camp with Homer. We benefit greatly from training in these different settings as each approach keeps us active, engaged and with staying power. Every workout is unique and well designed and provides challenging routines that address coordination, balance, strength, endurance, flexibility and cardiovascular health. You would think that it would be difficult to address our unique health issues at the same time (Barbara’s osteoporosis and Mark’s cerebral palsy), but on the contrary, Brian and Homer design our workouts that are mindful of these issues, while we build greater confidence and achieve improved levels of conditioning. Further, the trainers keep safety and injury prevention a high priority. One cannot deny the mind body connection – Brian’s upbeat, positive and motivating personality keeps us energized, committed and focused on incorporating healthy behaviors into our lifestyle. When we travel and miss our workouts with Brian and Homer, we typically feel that something is missing both physically and mentally – we hardly can wait to get back into our routine at the studio where we can regain that sense of well-being and vitality."

Carla is awesome. When I started with Carla two years ago, I just wanted to stave off the effects of aging. "One blustering cold typical winter evening at the gym I had just completed yet another long, draining, yet ineffective workout. Much like every other weekday, I was sitting in the gym lobby, feeling my efforts to get more fit were completely futile. This day however, I was lucky enough to be approached by Brian, a highly regarded trainer. He told me he’d seen my workouts for quite some time now, and that with better technique, slight modification to my routine, and integration of more weight resistance training in my workout, I would see noticeably better results. Upon saying this, he noted my work ethic and that he saw potential in me as an athlete, more particularly, a runner. This was new to me, and I was flattered. I had never thought of myself as a real “athlete”, and most certainly not a runner. But from that moment on, I had a new source of momentum, an encouraging mentor, and a fresh sense of determination, all derived from Brian. My new attitude was not the only thing which I had acquired while working with Brian. In just one session with him I had learned so much about the proper, healthy ways to train. In no time I had more energy for my workouts, a better body, and prolific workouts. Besides being a coach, Brian has served as a mentor to me since the minute he first introduced himself in the gym lobby. Because of his countless and enlivening discussions with me, his ideologies and advice have played a prominent role in my life, ameliorating my lifestyle both physically and mentally. He taught me that you can’t let yourself look back on life and regret doing something you wanted to. To this day, I continue to train with Brian, but now for a different reason - track.
